A few words with Wordlife:
WELCOME TO CLUB STROBE! What would Club Strobe be like if it was a real place? Residents/decor/theme etc?
You would be greeted by our sassy door bitch (you can hear her on the track) and provided she likes the cut of your jib and you play the 20 dollar door fee you'll be admitted into a jet black club full of amazing music, good vibin sexy People and strobes and layers galore and djs playing the blackest sex jams known to man.
What's your favourite piece of studio equipment? Did you use it on Club Strobe? What does it do?
Our computers cos we can watch porn on them too - you can do that with an ms20 - only fiddle with its knob.
You guys are notorious collaborators: For The Homies, Joyride, Negative Films, Dan Merriweather... How do you work in so many different worlds and always keep your distinctive flavour?
That's the hard bit - I dunno I guess we never do anything we don't 100% believe in and that becomes our style were pretty a.d.d musically but hopefully getting more focused. I guess that's being an artist right we have to keep making stuff cos we love it and its all we wanna do we're not in it just to be cool in a specific scene putting out one record a year and jocking one particular sound. We wanna bring different worlds together. we don't want to sound like anyone else we wanna keep sounding new everytime we release something but for people to hear it and know its us that's what we aim for!
Tell us one story that best sums up your experience playing at those infamous Motorik! warehouse parties.
I dunno I guess I just love hanging with the regular party crew there - so many legends coming back month in and month out.
What are you looking forward to most on the upcoming Presets tour dates?
Taking our music to more people than we ever have before around Australia, hopefully getting more g-strings than bottles thrown at us getting super turnt with old Beni after each show.
