James Valentine Supper Club – Golden Sheaf Hotel – Tuesday
This Tuesday catch the James Valentine Quartet playing jazz and funk at The Golden Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay. With James on tenor sax, Gary Daley on keys, Peter Kohlhoff on bass and Cam Reid on drums, the band has recorded two albums, and continue to wow audiences with their re-arrangements of modern popular music. Lanie Lane – The Vanguard – Wednesday
Australian Blues-Jazz singer-songwriter Lanie Lane has added a second Sydney show to her tour this September, and will now be performing both Wednesday and Thursday this week at the Vanguard. The gig will feature some brand new tracks as well as a number of favourites, and serves as something of a farewell before she heads back into the studio to record her much-anticipated second album.
