Small World Festival returns with solid homegrown lineup
By James Sherley
Small World Festival has announced their return for 2015 with a new home and a sterling lineup to match. A celebration of the creative community of Sydney’s inner-west, the guys at Young Henry’s Brewery have been heavily involved since its inception late last year.
Now residing in Alexandria’s Sydney Park, the bands taking to the natural amphitheatre stage is a homegrown affair, with rock royalty The Church headlining, one of the biggest breakthrough acts in recent years - DZ Deathrays, and local supergroup Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders.
Further down the bill are I Oh You’s latest hyped signing Green Buzzard, the SPOD fronted AC/DC tribute band Bon Voyage, sonic-electro pioneers PVT celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut, alongside other solid favourites Palms, All Our Exes Live In Texas, The Lulu Raes, Summer Flake and another surprise local addition to be chosen and announced by Visions in late August.
With mouth-watering grub as another focus of the festival, they’ve got Mary's on board, alongside Porteño, Black Betty BBQ, Cornersmith and of course the brews of Young Henry flowing all day.
It all goes down Saturday, September 19 with tickets on sale now for $69 + bf, you can grab them here https://smallworldfestival.com/tickets/
