Many Hands Launch

When: 9 May, 7pm – 11pm
Where: Paddington Uniting Church, 395 Oxford St, Paddington
Cost: $20 General Admission/$50 Reserved Seating

A good meal is about more than just about the food and drink; it’s about the conversations we share, the laughs that are had, and the entire sensory experience of eating including smell, texture and the nuances of umami. And it’s this wholesome philosophy that was the impetus behind Many Hands (formerly PopUp Ethical), the crew bringing Sydney’s newest pop-up restaurant, bar and gallery to Paddington this Friday.

Far from being the stock-standard dining collective, Many Hands are intent on cultivating a fruit salad artists, designers, musicians, farmers, and chefs, all of whom work together to create the best possible evening for their lucky diners. There is a strong focus on ethical and sustainable practice, both in the food arranged artfully on the plates and the showcased works from local aesthetes. But what really sets this pop-up apart from the others is the delightful way that every element of the evening has been specifically created and curated for your sensory pleasure. From illustrations to ceramics, textiles, jewellery and photography, it’s all been made to order with reference to the origins of the night’s nibbles.

GA tickets will leave you with two plates of tapas and the chance to hit up the bar’s organic beer and wine(or roaming around the exhibition). For something a trifle fancier, reserved tickets bump you up to a seat at the table with a five course meal and a drink of your choice.
