Chrome Sparks at Oxford Art Factory
Early Friday night we were engulfed in the mystical world of Jeremy Malvin's (Chrome Sparks)
Rhythms of soft cosmic electronic clusters, build-ups and subtle explosions. I had been asked to review Chrome Sparks gig at Oxford Art Factory, and having never heard his music before, I wanted to go in completely blindfolded to what I was about to experience.
At first I was overwhelmed with inspiration and imagination, I just started to vibe the energy from Jeremy Malvin, Aaron Gilbert Steele and Bill DeLelles, who were rolling in percussive rhythm and in movement. These Brooklyn boys just landed on the shores of Oz for the first time and the crowd was really appreciating what they were doing. All the best on the tour guys, the people of Splendour and the side shows are lucky mother fuckers!
Ps. Shout out to the guy with the dirty-mo and rugged bucket hat, killer moves dude! Don’t ever let them put baby in the corner!”
