Celebrating Sydney Street photographer Mike Martin
By Naz Jacobs
Join the community this Friday to celebrate the creative legacy of photographer Mike Martin.
At age 73, he was still walking Sydney’s streets, camera in hand, capturing everything from people to protests.
Mike ran the Newtown Graffiti Flickr page and was passionate about sharing the diversity of our inner suburbs with the rest of the world.
Shortly before his passing early this year, filmmaker Rachel Jordan shot a self-funded doco about his story and his contribution to Sydney’s developing arts scene.
Head to Paddington’s Archetype Gallery at 7pm tomorrow to get know the man who lived doing what he loved most. Attend the opening night of his photographic exhibition along with the free film screening of the documentary.
Food and drink will be available.
When: Friday 12th December
