BYO Beats # 6
Here we go again, another instalment of crunchy bass to get you through the weekend.
Joyride @ Good God Small Club, Thursday the 12th of December.
Joyride is one of my favourite local producers and musicians at the moment. It’s awesome seeing him every month at One Day Sundays at The Vic on the Park. His smooth mixes have graced the airways of FBI and our ears for a good long time now and finally he’s dropping his debut EP. Come and see this local legend in one of his of finest hours. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $10+BF - http://www.moshtix.com.au/v2/event/joyride-the-gentlemans-trilogy-tour/69135
Zed Bias (UK), Kill Frenzy (Bel), Christian Martin (US) @ Good God Small Club, Friday the 13th of December.
Pretty much the three best acts of Subsonic in my opinion so why not relive the experience or see what you missed out on. Zed Bias is largely considered one of the pioneers of the UK bass sound. He’s been there from the beginning of UK garage scene and has been one to watch ever since. Alongside is also the young gun out of Belgium, Kill Frenzy, dropping his dirty ghetto beats all over the joint. As if that wasn’t enough, the cherry on the cake is Christian Martin out the US with his hip-hop influenced style that’s been crafted since 1995. Doors open at 11pm. Tickets are $15+BF - http://pulseradio.net/events/view/4843
Rohad @ The Imperial Hotel, Saturday the 14th of December.
Hailing from Berlin, Rohad has been crafting his skills as a DJ since the late 90’s when he was throwing small outdoor parties in Berlin. By the late 2000’s he was a regular throughout clubs and by 2012 he’d honed his production skills and started at his own record label, Dystopian. He’ll be kicking off his deep techno vibes at 10pm and kicking all the way through till 5am. Tickets are $20+BF - http://bit.ly/RodhadAllNightLong.
