Brook Roberts in Athens
London-based Australian Brooke Roberts has an Applied Science Degree and works as a radiographer whilst still running her eponymous knitwear label.
She recently visited Athens, invited by TEDMED Live to participate in their latest edition and present a speech at the Onassis Cultural Center in Athens.
She met our Athens correspondent Minas Minatsis to talk about her visit to Greece, her collaboration with choreographer Riccardo Buscarini who she designed some amazing costumes and who won this year's Place Prize.
She also speaks to Minas about her upcoming collaboration with London-based visual artist George Petrou with whom she will be creating hybrid fabrics for swimwear. "We will use a mixture of sculpted silicone and knitted CT scan fabrics," Brooke revealed.
When asked about what she is working towards, Brooke says, "Ultimately, I would like to create a complete lifestyle brand including accessories and interiors with my ethos 'science-inspired design'."
