Homelessness is a problem faced by almost every major city in the world. It’s something that we are all faced with on a daily basis, often so much that we become numb to it.
One Charity that dedicates their lives to helping find solutions to this is Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets. When beginning in 1991, Youth off the Streets was a single food van, which delivered meals to the homeless in Sydney and surrounds. They have now grown into an organization, which offers over 25 different services to those who are in need. Their mission is simple, “Youth Off The Streets is helping disconnected young people discover greatness within, by engaging, supporting and providing opportunities to encourage and facilitate positive life choices.”
From drug and alcohol services to crisis accommodation – their reach is now felt throughout the homeless community and is supported by tireless volunteers and funded by generous donations from the public. “Volunteers are considered an extremely valuable resource and an essential component to the success of Youth Off The Streets. It’s a terrific way to become more involved in your community and help young people in need to transform their lives.”
With this in mind, the brothers behind the new men’s life and style website, Loot + Law have decided to give back to a cause that is close to their hearts. “Loot + Law chose to support a local charity because we felt it would be a great opportunity to lend a hand to those in need and give back to the community. Growing up through tough times, we've had to rely on the kindness of strangers in the past, and we see the impact that Father Chris Riley and his team have on the youth of the streets and it's something we're proud to support and be a part of.” – Gabriel Lawyer
